Startup Nation Ellaflor was On fire in their 2010 Small Business contest. Also, Ella and her mom won a trip to London and Madrid in 2009 as part of their Face to Face business contest sponsored by British airways.
Who inspires Ellaflor?
Ellen Frances Tuchman is a brilliant and inspired Dallas-based visual artist and the aunt of Ellaflor owner Ella Rich. Since Ella was a little girl, her aunt Ellen always encouraged her to think outside the box and create her own path in the world.
Effect Partners are pioneers in Green PR. Their concept of ”Social Change to Build Brands” has helped countless businesses and rock stars integrate sustainable practices into their business models and tours. Ella got the chance to work with them twice as part of Brita Filter for Good water campaign out at the Gorge in George,WA in the fall of 2010. Ella helped distribute free filtered drinking water to many Dave Matthews Band & Jack Johnson fans.
Masaru Emoto’s Site Think the Water Dr. Emoto has done amazing work with water. Through his photographic studies, he has visually depicted water and its ability to retain, reflect, and convey messages.
Goop is Gwyneth Paltrow’s passion project and weekly newsletter. She shares all kinds of good tips and information on how to lead a healthy and spectacular life. Check it out, and “get the scoop from Goop.”
BYOB is Sheila Coates’ web site. With her “Be Your Own Brand” concept, Sheila teaches people how to “speak volumes without saying a word.” Ella met Sheila in London, as they were both winners of the British Airways face-to-face contest. Sheila’s tips and advice are invaluable.
Rebecca’s Herbal Apothecary was Ella’s first “Hohm away from home.” when she used to live in Boulder, CO. The staff provide unparralled products, service and information. If you are ever in Boulder, you MUST pay them a visit to scope out their teas, tictures and aromatherapy. Rebeccas has also been selling Ellaflor’s Fair Trade Palo Santo since Spring of 2010.
